A new Peruvian concept created by Peruvian-born entrepreneur, Danny Rodriguez, has opened its first brick and mortar in Burbank, California.
I first heard about Pablito’s back in May 2016 when they launched the first Peruvian gourmet food truck with an Asian flare, I visited them a week after they launched their truck in Hollywood and I was impressed at the quality that the chef was putting out.
I met Chef Charles Thomson who together with Rodriguez were both passionate about Peruvian cuisine and also about their menu. At that time I tried their ceviche mixto and their lomo saltado, I was instantly hooked on their food. All I can think is how can this truck be putting out a better ceviche than Picca, Mario’s and Balcones? Their fish tasted like it had just been caught and their spicy “Leche de Tigre” was insane. Their “Lomo Saltado” with filet mignon was the best lomo saltado I’ve had!
Well, let’s fast forward five months and faster than J-Lo changes boyfriends they were opening their first brick and mortar, I attended their opening which had lines around the corner. The wait was very much worth it as we were treated to an array of delicious Peruvian Food.
I’ve been to Pablito’s Kitchen three times since the grand opening, Yes! I’m hooked and I’m not ashamed to admit it!
